Mongolians Can Now Pay Korean Medical Bills Remotely in MNT

Mongolian care-seekers and their families can now settle medical bills and place deposits at hospitals in South Korea using Mongolian Tugriks (MNT) directly from their smartphones via the SendMN app. In collaboration with GLN International Inc. (a subsidiary of Hana Bank, South Korea) and with support from the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, this solution removes the need to queue, worry about exchange rates, or pay steep card surcharges.

Instead of waiting three to four days for a traditional transfer, SendMN processes payments instantly. There is no upper limit on the amount you can send, so whether you are covering a routine consultation or a more complex procedure, the app will accommodate every need.

As part of a special launch campaign, all medical payments made through the SendMN app will be completely fee-free until August 31, 2025.

Users can download a receipt in both English and Korean directly from the app. That same receipt serves as accepted proof of deposit by the Korean Visa Application Center (KVAC) for visa processing.

SendMN is licensed by the Financial Regulatory Commission of Mongolia. All transactions are protected by bank-grade encryption, and customer data is stored securely in compliance with Mongolia’s Personal Data Protection Law. On the Korean side, GLN International operates under the oversight of the Financial Services Commission of Korea, ensuring funds move through fully licensed channels. A dedicated support team is available via phone, in-app chat, or email, should any questions or concerns arise.

Currently, SendMN accepts payments at top-tier medical institutions such as Seoul National University Hospital, Korea University Anam Hospital, and Wonjin Plastic Surgery, with more to be added soon in collaboration with the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.

To get started, download or update the SendMN app and complete a brief verification (valid ID and selfie). From the Services menu, press Medical Payment, choose your hospital, upload the invoice, and confirm the amount in MNT. Before finalizing the transfer, the app will display any applicable fees and the current exchange rate.

By combining SendMN’s seamless mobile platform with GLN International’s banking infrastructure and the Korean Medical Association’s hospital network, this service gives Mongolian patients confidence that their medical payments will arrive safely and on time—so they can focus on healing.
